Our award winning Mediation Team of specially trained Year 12 & 13 students actively work towards reducing conflict in our College and its community, have received many prestigious awards and have worked on critical community based initiatives.
Mediation is a confidential, voluntary process which allows parties in a dispute to talk about the situation, the effect it is having on them and how they think the situation can be resolved. Student mediators have been trained to deal with conflictand are supportedby staff members. The mediators have the skills required to deal with all types of disputes but are also aware of the need to refer cases back to members of staff if the issues involved are considered as serious within the school. If a dispute arises in class that may continue outside the classroom, teaching staff can refer the students to the mediation service.
