Bacon's College is a high performing, heavily oversubscribed 11-18 Academy with 1100 students (including 200 in the Sixth Form), It has a high quality working environment, positive student relationships and good community support.

We have the highest expectations of those who work with us. Every adult and visitor to our College is expected to be a good role model for our students, taking every opportunity to have positive interactions and to build responsible relationships with our young people.

Working at Bacon's College has many rewards and benefits. Bacon's College provides to all staff, after twelve months of service, participation in a corporate performance related bonus scheme. Bacon's staff salaries are very competitive and include a generous 'Bacon's Allowance'.

Bacon's College provides Secondary and Post 16 education but is also a professional learning community where all adults are encouraged to continue their learning. Many opportunities are provided for post graduate study and financial assistance is available. Those members of staff studying for their first degrees or diplomas are also fully supported.

Bacon's has a reputation for successful and skilful 'beginning teacher education', supporting for PGCE and GTP student teachers. This support continues for Newly Qualified Teachers.
